Anshu, an NRI from London entered into Telugu Film Industry through Annapoorna Studio's Manmadhudu. She is currently
acting in "Raghavendra" with Prabhas in the direction of SureshKrissna. We got a chance to talk to her on the sets
of "Raghavendra".
She is a very nice person to talk to. She has got a typical Accent. We are

How did you land up in Telugu Film industry

Cinematographer KabirLal is a good friend of ours. He happened to send my pictures to Mr. ViajayBhaskar. I was invited
for a screentest in March. I came to Hyderabad for few days and went back to London. Mr. VijayaBhaskar called me and told me
that I got the role. I was brought from London by Annapoorna Studios into Telugu film industry. It is great
to be launced by such a prestigious banner.




What is your role in Raghavendra? And how do you compare to your role in Manmadhudu

My role has so much scope to perform. Its a simple educated girl. I really like my role. The script is fabulous.
This role is completely different from Manmadhudu. In Manmadhudu, I played a glamorous village girl. Its just a love story.
Raghavendra is a completely different movie with lot of action.



There are two heroines in the movie.

I am just happy with my role. I have scope to perform. Thats what matters. Even for my first film I knew that there was an
other heroine. It was not a problem.



Matralaya is a very religious place. What's your experience

I wasnt shooting in Mantralaya. There are two parts - one in Hyd and the other in Mantralaya.



What is your criteria for choosing movies

Well, I have been getting few offers. I am being pretty choosy. I dont want to rush into things. I want to take things
slow and steady. I want to do good characters. If I like the script and Story, I will decide it then and there.
I havent yet commited to any other films. But story discussions are happening with few producers.



What kind of team would you like to work with

There are lot of big directors in Telugu film industry. I am glad to be launched by K.VijayaBhaskar who has such a good record in the industry. And also now
Suresh Krissna garu. Its not that I work with only big directors. I want to work with passionate directors, who love their
work. The same thing with actors. For example Prabhas is a very good actor. He loves to act. He is a great performer. He
does everything 101%. I just love Passionate people and great team. Success will be on its way.



Did u ever see Telugu films

I never used to watch Telugu Films.
When I was in London, Mr. VijayaBhaskar suggested me to watch his movie Nuvve Kavali. I found that movie with such a difficulty
because we dont have so many Telugu Films in London. Its a nice and sweet film. When I arrived in Hyderabad, I saw other films.
Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu, Kushi, Allari Ramudu, Eswar, Jayam, Indra. I watched Eswar first day First show.
Now that I am working in Telugu films, I should get myself familiar and acquainted with the language.



You must be having language problem

Yeah. For my first film I had language problem. But every time I shoot, I learn something new in the language.
In this film I am attempting to speak a few words. It will be easy for me to perform, if you say your own dialogues.



Were you interested in acting from the beginning? Did you get any training.

Yes. I worked with a theater in London. Acting comes to you naturally. You cant learn acting. You have to feel it inside.



Mother tongue and family details

Hindi. My parents are from Delhi. They settled in UK. I was born and brought up in Hounsoow, UK. My brother and sister are
in London. I am here with my father. I have lot of relatives in Hyderabad. I come to India 5,6 times a year for holidays
and vacationing.



Who is your favorite in Telugu

All the heroes are top range here. They are all fabulous actors with their own style.
They cannot be compared. Thats why they have so much of fan following.





What is your goal

I just want to be known as a good actress.. Not a star or anything. Thats about it. Not that I believe in the star theme
or the competetion.




Anshu is a religious person. She believes that you have to put in 100% of your effort. But the result is left to God.
The result, whether its a hit or failure will have a good reason behind it.
