The beautiful girl in the above picture is Deepa. Most of us know of her as Poonam Kaur (Miss Andhra 2005). She recently stepped into the film world and did 2 films - Mayajalam, Oka V Chitram. Born and brought up in Hyderabad, Deepa feels that she is a 100% Telugu girl. Here is a quick chit chat with Deepa.
"I did a music album titled Jalwa 2 (Damaa dam mast kalandar song). Offers poured in after that. I could not take up any since I did not want anything to disrupt my education. After +2, I did fashion designing in NIFT, Delhi."
"After my studies, I took up the offer for Teja's film. Not Oka V Chitram though. It was for a film in the combination of Teja and Ilayaraja which was to start. For some reason it didnot kick off. Oka V Chitram started and I did that since I already commited for a Teja's film. My first film to release is Krishna Reddy's Mayajalam".
Deepa feels lucky that she is introduced by a man who introduced Jayaprada, Jayasudha and others - Dasari Narayana Rao (he presented Oka V Chitram film). Deepa is presently doing an NRI project which has got good scope for her performance. She did not
reveal any more details since the project is not yet officially announced.
