Tarun entered film industry as a hero in 2000 with Nuvve Kavali. Though he is new the cadre of Hero, he is
very well known to the Telugu audience. He laid his foundation before the camera as child artist.
His first film as child artist is Anjali in 1990. After that he worked on great roles giving out his best and
won so many awards.
Currently he is working with Sri Surya movies "Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu".
He spared a few moments for us out of his busy schedule.
Your latest movie was Nuvve Nuvve. What did you think of the outcome.
I am completely satisfied with the movie. The story & dialogues entertained both the family and the youth.
All the credit goes Sravanti Ravikishore and director Trivikram Srinivas.
Almost all your roles untill now are Loverboy kind of Characters. Dont you think it as routine?
We are here to entertain audience. As long as they dont feel bored, I dont have a problem in doing those roles.
I think the audience likes to see me that way.
Moreover my age, body language, the look of innocence and tenderness suits loverboy roles than holding a knief and
going for a powerful role. I feel that there is lot of time before I go for that kind of a role. (...laughing).
you have entered the cine field as a child artist and now doing hero roles.
How do you feel now comparing it to your child artist times?
I don't see any difference. The only difference is that now I have a heroine.
Now-a-days there are so many new comers. So there is a lot of competetion. What do you think?
People work hard only when there is a competetion. This is a very good change. My view is any field quality
and talent outcome improves only with competetion. So, I am for the change.
The talk is that your career graph has alternative flops. I mean for every hit the next one is a flop. What is your view on this?
This type of criticism will stop now. Nuvve Nuvve is a hit. The next to-be-released movie
Nee manasu naaku telusu will also become a hit.This will stand as the best movie of my career.
Now, I am taking being more cautious in the selection of the movies.
Until now you worked on only big banners?
No. There is no such opinion. It's just a coincidence that subjects that I happened to like worked out with big banners.
I am open to do film with anyone if I like the subject.
Tell us about your upcoming movies.
Sri Surya movies film Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu is almost completed. I will work with Sri Durga arts for the next one.
There are still commitments. As they still under discussion, it would not be good to reveal them at this time.
I will announce them once they are confirmed.
How are your relationships with other youth heros NTR, Uday Kiran and Tarak?
My self, NTR and Uday Kiran are good friends. We are in touch on regular basis. You wont believe, if I tell you
that we chat on phone every day. But we do. I am very good friends with Tarak also.
We go for gathering very often. We have no ego problems.
So far in how many languages have you acted as a hero.
I have done in Telugu and Tamil. Due to my commitments, I don't have enough time to work in other languages.
What is your character in the movie Nee manasu naaku telusu?
I am doing as a middle class boy doing part time jobs. The love point in this movie is novel and will be liked by all.
How do you feel working with A.M.Ratnam and A.R.Rehman.
I feel very lucky. I am a great fan of A.R.Rehman. I am very happy
that he composed music for my film and all the songs have come superbly.
