Dr. Rajasekhar's Satyameva jayate started at a grand scale today. This film is loosely based on Rajkumar Santoshi directed Bollywood film Khakee. Dr. Rajasekhar revealed some interesting statements during this launch. He said, 'I spent lot of time and energy on this script. It came out brilliant. But some miscreants burnt the script. No matter why it is done, no one can ever erase it from my mind. No one can stop this film or script. The film has Milind Somahn, Atul Kulkansi, Neetu Chandra, Sanjana, Sheril Pinto etc. There is a reason behind casting these heroines. For whatever reason, a few heroine in the industry are not willing to act in my films. So I am left with no option but to import', said Rajasekhar.
The film is officially started on Saturday night at Taj Krishna. RTC Chairman M.Satyanarayana Rao is playing chief minister in this film. 'I handled many responsibilities in politics but nothing to satisfaction. Now I am happy that I get to play CM in a film. This is the first time I am acting in a film. In fact, I was to act in a Suresh Productions film but that did not work out', said M.Satyanrayana Rao. Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy attended this event and clapped on Rajasekhar and M.Satyanarayana rao for the first shot. Subbirami Reddy switched on the camera while Dasari directed the first shot.
Talking about the film, Dasari said, 'There is a word in the industry that films get delayed because of Rajasekhar. For any issue, his name is exploited first. This time he announced the release date to me already. But I would not reveal it now. I am presenting this film on Siri Media banner. I know the story of the film and Rajasekhar did a wonderful job with the script. I still remember the remark I made after watching Ankusam. I compared him with Sivaji Ganeshan. Even today I stand by that word. He would have been apt for Hollywood'.
Ex-minister Kanumuri Bapiraju compared films and politics to be two tough industries. 'If you win elections, you get to stay in position for 5 years. In movies, you have to deliver hit with every film. Even Kanumuri Bapirajua acted in a film titled Bapiraju Kodallu. But that film was shelved.
Crew includes Loki, Vamsi for camera, Chinna for music. Gangotri Viswanath and writer Mohan are the writers while Horseman Babu will work for stunts. Screenplay and story are by Rajasekhar and Jeevita is the director.
