Indraganti Mohan Krishna directed Ashta Chemma with Nani, Swathi (Colors), Srinivas, Bhargavi, Thanikella Bharani, Jhansi and others has impressed Sekhar Kammula a lot that he decided to distribute the film in overseas through Touring Talkies distribution banner. Producer Ram Mohan wanted Sekhar Kammula to watch the film for analysis. After watching the film, Sekhar offered to distribute the film in US. 'Story and narration are pretty novel. In fact, it is a new path that Mohan Krishna took up in narrating. There is plenty of comedy. All the characters are done very well and it is all natural. Kalyani Mallik music is ood too', said Sekhar Kammula.

Suresh Babu, who is the presenter of the film, said that censor work is done and the film is all set to release on 5th of September. The film has lyrics by Sirivennela and music by Kalyani Mallik. 'Ashta Chemma is like Ludo in English. You have come up with your own moves to overtake the opponent. This film runs on the same lines with each character trying to over do the other. What for? should be seen on the screen', said Mohan Krishna.
