Aadanthe..Ado Typu - Review
Story Adanthe.. Adho typu is a film about a guy who has good values for the word Love. He has no consideration for the modern keyword "love".
He breaks and makes marriages. Finally he falls in love with a girl.
Aryan (Surya) is an orphan raised by chandramohan. Sivaji (Krishna), son of Chandramohan and a confidant to Aryan, is always behind
girls. Aryan is never for the modern love and hates girls who try to exploit guys. Anitha (Brundha) is a relative of Chandramohan's
family and is engaged to sivaji. However, sivaji is in love with another girl Sindhu. And also Anitha is in love
with someone, who is not revealed. Finally Aryan falls in love with a girl who keeps teasing him on phone.
So is that girl Anitha? Does Aryan marry Anitha?
Analysis
Adanthe Ado typu.. seemed to be a promo film for Aryan, who is looking for a hit from the beginning of his career. This film might not help him either. Projection of Aryan is done well. If that is the purpose that is achieved. However, the film wanders without a good story line. There in nothing novel in the story. The plot can be expected in advance. Also, the reasons for Aryan to hate
girls and love is not convincing. At the same time, his falling for a girl on phone has spoilt the characterization.
Though the film is directed by EVV, there is a change in his style. The touch of EVV was missing except in few scenes. From songs to fights, and sentiment to glamour, - there is a change.
The film has EVV court comedians Ali, Mallikarjunarao,
M.S.Narayana. There is not much comedy generated by them. Comedy relief comes in the form of Krishna Bhagawan, who with his
unique style of dialogue delivery steals the show.
First half is a little bit boring with weak screenplay. Songs, fights, alternating scenes of Aryan and Sivaji, keep popping in.
Second half is better than the first half. The flow is not maintained
through out the film.
Fights are highlight in the film. Stunts are pictured in a variety manner. Single but power-packed shot seemed to be
the style. It worked well. All the fights in this film follow the same strategy. Background score and music is good.
Editing needs a special mention. Slick editing in fights, songs and even in some scenes made the respective scenes a treat to watch.
Songs
A fight leads the first song which is Pogarekki Pandhemesthe. The song is choreographed well. Music director
has provided the required temp in the beats. Second song is Oo Friendu. Though the music is good, it was not captured well for the screen. Same thing
goes with the third song. It is a parody song - A mixture of previous hits. That is also boring until Krishna Bhagawan makes his appearance for the final stanza. Also, Ali does the Indra Step, which evoked great response from the audience. Prema O Prema
and Chindani Soku are filmed abroad. Photography and editing are good. Though, technically the songs are sound, they are felt a bit lengthy.
Chinna Navvuthonu is the final song. The song is good but timing is bad. The song comes in when one is about to think that
the film is almost over.
Artists
Aryan has done his job to his best. He is projected very well.
Sivaji did a good job. Though his character hides in the shadow of the hero, he takes on with his
performance.
Anitha and Sindhu are just for credits sake. Both of them have got no scope for performance.
Krishna Bhagawan takes the audience on laugh riot. His style of dialogue delivery and timing, boosted the comedy punch. Also,
his entrance into the parody song and the lyrics of Anaganaga oka friendunnadu takes the whole theater into laughs.
Ali, Mallikarjuna Rao are in for a comedy track. It is just average.
Chandramohan as the father of Sivaji, Chalpathi rao as the father of Anitha, Giribabu as the father of Sindhu, got very limited roles.
Music
Background music is provided well, especially in the fight scenes. Yuvan Shankar Raja has provided good beats in the songs.
Direction
Story is nothing new. Weak screenplay adds to it. E.V.V. touch was missing. Comedy and sentiment - the fortes of EVV are not
embedded that well in this film.
Thumbsup: Krishna Bhagawan's comedy.
ThumbsDown: Story, Screenplay
