Adavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule - Review
The film is about a guy Ganesh (Venkatesh) who turns 30 but is still looking for jobs and is also dependent on his dad (Kota). He falls in love with Keerthi (Trisha) and fate has it that he gets a job in the same company where Keerthi is working. He joins as her trainee. One day Ganesh reveals his love for Keerthi but Keerthi rejects the proposal as she is already engaged. Turn of events leaves Ganesh's father dead and Ganesh goes into his own world following that. What happens next? Watch it on the silver screen.

Putting it honestly, if not for Venkatesh, the film is mediocre. Venkatesh with his excellent performance in his role turns the film into a good one. The character is tailor-made. Be it satirical comedy, sentiment scenes or romantic ones, Venkatesh showed his mark of excellence. Trisha is very good in her role. She appears as software professional in the first half and as a homely village girl in the second half.

Kota Srinivasa Rao did very well as father to Venkatesh. Sri Ram, who played the friend of Ganesh and becomes Ganesh's support after the loss of his dad, is content in his role though he did not get much scope. Sunil is wasted in the role. It is not clear why Sunil is picked for that role. Swathi is cute and adorable as sister to Trisha. She played mischevious sister to Trisha. It is her role that brings laughter in the second half. She is apt in that role.

Technically AMAV has every ingredient that a family film needs - sentiment, comedy, emotions, romance etc. Though Sri Raghava picked a nice story for Venkatesh, he somehow could not prove the same with the screenplay. Every scene looks familiar. Also, the film is like more of Vikraman (director of Vasantham) movie rather than Sri Raghava's film (who earlier directed 7G Brindavan Colony).

First half of the film is filled with the relation between the son and the father (Kota and Venkatesh), some comedy and few heart touching scenes. Second half gets into a serious mode and runs a bit slow. Scenes between Swathi, Venkatesh and Trisha, Venkatesh in the second half provide relief and are effective.

Mumaith Khan's item number is a big asset to the second half. This song is pictured very effectively. Coming to the songs, all of them are good. The songs are on the melody side rather than fast beats. Background score is also good. Camera work by Balamurugan is very good. Editing by Kola Bhaskar is okay. Production values are good as the movie bears rich look overall.

Comedy in the film could have been better. At some points of the film , comedy is not entertaining anymore. Sunil's character could have been better defined and that would have added up. Also, Sri Raghava should have tried to narrate the film in effective way rather than adapting a pattern that will cater to one segment of audience.

In brief, Sri Raghava made a typical Venkatesh film that will cater to the audience. And that itself is an assurance of the film at the box office. Though the film might not be taken that well with youth and masses, family audience (who happen to be the strong segment of Venkatesh's films) will definitely like it.
