Nagaram - Review
Nagaram is directed by debut director CC Srinivas. CC Srinivas has good amount of experience working as assistant director with prominent directors. However, the film fails to impress with the standards.

Saleem Bhai's right hand is Right (Srikanth). Saleem Bhai and Right do goondagiri for living. AG Chowdary (Jagapati babu), new cop in town, is determined to eradicate goondagiri. He follows only one law - encounter. As expected, cracks develop in the relation of Saleem and Right causing each of them pitting against other. Right transforms to a good guy in the supervision of the ACP. Now, a new problem arises. AG Chowdary is replaced by a crooked cop (Kalabhavan Mani). He wants Right to come back into goonda giri. How did Right react to that? forms the story.

Barring Jagapati babu, Srikanth and Ajay, the film has nothing much to talk about. The trio performed very well. Pradeep Rawat, Kalabhavan Mani, Ashok Kumar and others are content in their roles. Comedy by Raghu Babu and Ali fail to evoke even tickles. Heroine Kaveri Jha is pretty much limited to skin show in 2 songs. Bhargavi, who acted as the wife of Ajay, is very artificial in her role. Manisha Koirala sizzles in an item number.

This is the debut film for CC Srinivas. He picked a stale storyline and then fails with narration. He is good with direction though. Shot takings came out well. First half of the film drags on while the second half falters. Shankar Dada comedy sequence done by Nandyala Ravi did not click. Music by Chakri is average. Background score is good. Stunts composed by Ram Laxman are good. One song is directed by Krishnavamsi (Beach Song). Sarat did a good job with his camera. Gautam Raju's editing could have been better.

Overall, the film feels patchy. First half can pass on but it takes good amount of patience to sit through the second half.
