Konchem Touchlo Untey Cheputhanu - Review
Doraiswami Raju presented this Konchem Touch Lo untey Cheputhuanu in the direction of Vamsi. V.Vijaya Kumar Varma is the producer. Sivaji is
bagging good roles in these recent times and this is definitely one of them. As the title suggests to be novel, the film aims at being novel too and it surely did.
This is definitely yet another Vamsi's film with a blend of crime and comedy.
It is a quite pleasant and entertaining story provided by Sankaramanchi Parthasarathi. Vamsi did total justice with his touch of screenplay and
direction. Coming to the storyline, Kalidasu (Sivaji) is duped by his friends for money. Frustrated by the happenings in his life, Kalidasu
decides to end his life. GK (Prakashraj) stops him from commiting suicide. He provides Kalidasu with 10 Lakhs on the name of a trust established for the rescue of Kalidasu like people.
Meanwhile, Kalidasu spots Alakananda (Veda), who is an anchor. Kalidasu is in love with her and proposes. Alakananda introduces a deal to stay friends
with Kalidasu for sometime to understand each other. If everything persists even after that, they should consider marrying. Now, the generosity
of GK is revealed that he rescues vulnerable people and then kills them afterwards to retreive good insurance money. Thats his plan with
Kalidasu too. So will GK kill Kalidasu? Will Kalidas get to marry Alakananda? Watch this entertaining film on the silver screen to know the end.
The film comes with complete touch of director Vamsi. Though there are a few differences from his earlier works and a minute disappointments here and there with the film, these things get
washed away in the quality of the film. Especially the trademark fast dialogues and punchliners are plenty in the film and click very well. The touch of
Vamsi is such that even an age old joke evokes good laughter with the audience.
Performance wise Sivaji did a great job in this role. He perfected his timing and impresses a good deal in this film. Veda looked good. Vamsi has his
own style of projecting the heroines and he did the same here too. However, unlike his earlier films there was something missing with the herione
Veda. She did her role OK. Krishna Bhagavan's role of Kondala Rao is the highlight of the film. His tough times with maintaining two wives are
hillarious. Jeeva, MS Narayana, Brahmanandam, and others did their roles within their limits.
Vennelakanti penned good lyrics and Chakri's music is good too. Background music could have been better. Raghu captured the beautiful locales of
Rajamundry with his camera very well. Dialogues are another big asset for this film. Sensible, timely, comical and sometimes satirical dialogues
form one of the key elements in this film. (This is usually the case with Vamsi's films).
This is a brandmark Vamsi film without any doubt. Screenplay is tightly knitted too. This blend of crime and comedy is a special skillset unique
to Vamsi. However there are some of his drawbacks which creeped into this film too.. such as handling of the climax. Though there are other
charges like not-completed Kondala Rao's character, they are easily washed off in the flow of the film.
First half is very entertaining.
Second half starts with good pace but gradually slows down and in the climax it is handled like his previous films.
Overall, this is an entertaining film and is recommended watch. Vamsi fans and comedy fans are bound for a complete entertainment..
